SLEEPWALKING

Funny how there is always a light

at the end of the tunnel
So daily we walk closer
knowing it could lead to life
or a train smash
But who fears death
knowing there is timeless life
after life
So we live life to the fullest
From time to time
having time of our lives
Everyday we bump into free-spirited souls
Soul-to-soul experiencing soulful connections
Seeking soulmates is beyond the scope of our minds
So we choose to mind our own business
Basing eternal decisions on logic
If we can't understand it
It's magic
Oh the tragedy
Of allowing the logic to rob us of spiritual gifts
Who to blame
If the mind is lacking spiritual insight
Our hearts are sleepwalking daily
Guarded by ribcage
Waiting for a cupid knock
with a promise of a cheerful life
Who knows
if our happiness
isn't hidden beneath the initial heartbreak
The blood clots of a broken heart
could spell the possibility
of something worth fighting for
But who we are
to judge the intentions of the next
For we are all responsible to self
Though walking around teary
with a smile on my face
I'm still happy with self
